About the Markdale Agricultural Society’s Junior Board
The Junior Board’s Mission:
The Markdale Agricultural Society is dedicated to fostering a deep appreciation of agriculture and enhancing the quality of life for those in our agricultural community. Our mission is centered on understanding and addressing the unique needs of the agricultural sector through innovative programs.
Who can join?
-Youth with a passion for volunteering, brainstorming, crafting, agriculture, community involvement, education and more.
Responsibilites:
-Foster relationships with youth in the community.
-Introduce young people to agriculture in Markdale.
-Assist in fair planning and coordination.
-Volunteer at the fair and promote child-friendly activities.
-Act as ambassadors to increase youth participation.
-May fundraise through events but must communicate with the MAS Fundraising Committee before contacting community businesses for sponsorship.
-Operates as an advisory and action-oriented group under the MAS Board’s guidance, without authority to independently enact policies affecting the MAS or the annual fair.
Junior Board Introduction Evening
Join us for a fun and welcoming evening to get to know the Junior Board! This is a great opportunity for youth to learn what the Junior Board is all about while enjoying games, activities, snacks, and meeting other like-minded kids in the community. It’s all about connection, leadership, and having fun. Join us at the the Agricultural Services Centre at 206 Toronto St S, Markdale ON from 6pm-7pm.
